Apply for a Free Domain
Pick a name you like, verify who you are, and manage everything from one dashboard. No annual fees, ever.
Steps
Set up DNS hosting. Add your domain at a supported DNS platform first. Our top pick is Bunny.net DNS; He.net DNS is a solid second. Other providers work too.
Create your Nssnap Community account. Register at nssnap.com and verify your GitHub account (it needs to be at least two years old).
Apply in the web console. Head to nssnap.com/domains, pick an available suffix, and submit your application. Nameserver delegation is handled automatically, so your domain starts working once it is approved.
Deploy something and keep it alive. Point your new domain at something real, whether that is a blog, a project page, or anything in between. Domains left empty for 30 days are reclaimed so others can use them. Day-to-day management all happens in the same console.
Good to know
- A domain is a single label under the suffix:
myname.no.kgworks,my.name.no.kgdoesn't; - The name must not hit the reserved words list;
- By registering you agree to the Registration and Use Agreement, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Privacy Policy;
- Applied through a GitHub pull request in the past? Your suffix priority is preserved. Sign in at Nssnap Community with your original Whois email and your domain will be allocated to you automatically. Allocations can be completed from October 7, 2026 onward, and the My Domains page shows the status of each of your domains.
